About NamesNerd

NamesNerd was founded in December 2020 by Kyle & Jessi Larson. NamesNerd has a wide variety of name generators to help people discover great name ideas.

How It All Started!

When adopting our yellow lab puppy we needed to come up with a great name. We looked all over the web and could only find A to Z lists that were painful to look through.

Kyle decided he could build something better as a web designer and developer. So he created My Dog’s Name, a site for searching for dog names by category and style.

We then branched out into creating a cat name site and now a site for all kinds of other purposes!

Jessi Larson is a marketing strategist for Fortune 50 companies who loves to research and write.

Kyle Larson is a professional web designer and author who keeps our name sites running and looking good.
